FAQs
How do I apply?
You can download an application pack from this website, or you can request one by emailing vacancies@trimar.com You can then choose to complete the application form electronically, or print it off, complete it and return it to us by post.
Will I have to have a criminal records check?
All offers of employment will be made subject to an enhanced or standard Criminal Records Bureau check, depending on the position you have applied for. If you have a criminal record, you must declare this to us on application. This will not affect the shortlisting process, however we have to consider any previous convictions very carefully due to the nature of the position you have applied for, and the duty of care we have to our vulnerable service users to protect them.
Will I have to wait for references before I can start?
All offers of employment are made subject to receiving satisfactory pre-employment checks. This includes two satisfactory references (one of which should be your most recent employer), Criminal Records Bureau check and medical clearance. Once we have received all the satisfactory checks, we will contact you to arrange a start date. The length of time this takes can vary, but may be anything between three and six weeks.
Will I need to have a medical?
You will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire with your application form. Based on the information you provide, a decision will then be made on whether to refer you to the Occupational Health Department for further medical clearance.
When will I start?
As all offers of employment are made subject to receiving satisfactory pre-employment checks, we have to make sure that we have received all the satisfactory checks before contacting you to arrange a start date. The length of time this takes can vary, but may be anything between three and six weeks.
When will I get paid?
All staff are paid on the 10th day of the month for the previous month’s actual hours worked (or earlier if this day falls on a weekend or bank holiday).
What shifts will I work?
Depending on which staff team you are allocated to, you will work an agreed shift pattern providing 24 hours support to the service user. More details of your work hours will be given in your welcome meeting with your manager.
Can I send you my CV?
We do not accept CVs as a form of application for positions within Trimar Care. All applicants must fully complete an application form. If you wish, you may attach a copy of your CV to the application form and return your application to Trimar Care by emailing vacancies@trimar.com or by printing the application form off, completing it and returning it to us by post.
